Good music, but not the best performances

"I purchased this recording with great anticipation, as it has some stellar works on it, done by someone with great familiarity with Sumsion and Howells. Unfortunately, the music is often passionless, the sound not balanced, lazy releases, and the organ a bit subdued for most of the accompaniments as well as on the Introduction and Theme. But, Sumsion deserves much more attention these days, and Hunt should be commended for recording his music."
