Fantastic Carpatho-Ukranian Klezmer Violinist!
SWboy | hometown USA | 09/20/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is music from another place and time--

probably recorded in the 1940s or 50s.

Beautifully played Jewish music by an obscure

musician. The sound quality is not so great,

but the music certainly is.

Emil Bruh was a very accomplished musician, with a

classical background (I'd guess) and he has great control over

the violin. The music ranges from deeply felt melodies to

music with more of an "entertainment" value.

Its "traditional" but not what I'd call "folkloric"

(if that makes any sense...)

Some of it sounds close to Gypsy music.

Highly Recommended."
