Great Elvis country compilation! Among the highlights are the big hit Kentucky Rain, a cover of Hank Williams I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, Snowbird(not found on many compilations), Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain and many others. Great addition to any Elvis or country collection.

Yet another country collection

(4 out of 5 stars)

"Not to be confused with his outstanding 1971 "Elvis Country (I'm 10,000 Years Old)" album, this is yet another collection of some of Elvis' country songs, mostly from the 70's. It does not include any of his early classic songs from the 50's. The packaging is kind of skimpy too, not much for liner notes or pictures. It could have been a more attractive collection if they had included the remixed versions of "Always On My Mind" and "Loving Arms" from the early 1980's. Both versions have been out of print for years and are difficult to come by. The songs and performances here are great (hey it's Elvis), but all things considered I like his "Great Country Songs" CD or the 2 CD collection "The Country Side of Elvis" better. They provide a more comprehensive collection of Elvis country songs, from his early recordings for Sun right on through the 70's."
One of the Best!

"Elvis Country is one of the best collections of Elvis'country songs. Most of these are originally recorded by other artists, but when Elvis sings these, they are clearly his and his alone. A well composed album."
