CD ReviewsEliades Ochoa plays Nico Saquito's music 09/17/2003 (4 out of 5 stars) "This is simple but great Cuban peasant music played by a master guitarrist, a real treat. The guitar variations in tracks 2 and 4 are excellent, and track 5, Orillas del Cauto, is worth the whole CD. The guitar technique by Ochoa is world class. However the balance of this recording is not great, the drums are muted and largely in the background, and you must play with the balance to get a feel for the music. The guitar playing is marvelous."
