Highly enjoyable!

"This is a splendid and delightful english operetta! This music is quick, spritely, and very catchy. The lyrics might be a little bit of a let down if you have high hopes of hearing another W.S. Gilbert or even Basil Hood's earlier Sullivan years. This album also only includes the songs and not the dialogue, which is alright.

Also very important to mention, every singer in this preformace does a brilliant job and every word is crystal clear which is good since there is no libretto included.

This recording is from 1960 but sounds as if it was recorded this year thanks to EMI's CLASSICS FOR PLEASURE label.
