CD Reviews(from Popwatch #10) Jwmojohand@aol.com | Mishawaka, IN USA | 02/10/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "Sonic Boom's ambient music with E.A.R. has steered clear of recourse to the shimmering "ecstasy sound" that he and Jason Pierce pioneered during Spacemen 3's final phases. Sonic has recruited drumkit stalwart Eddie Prevost for sessions and his bowed cymbal work has been ace. Here, Prevost plays more like a free jazz guy trying out his rig in a synthesizer store. A perfect idea. The near-stillness of the previous E.A.R. records is replaced by agitated activity from all corners.
