Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players. Warner. 2009.

"This is one of best albums in my entire collection..FABULOUS.5 Stars..A Prog Masterpiece.One of best concept albums since Genesis' "The Lamb".All the musicians are superb top notch players,John Myung plays a 6 string bass,,John Petrucci is one of very best guitarsits in the world and he shines oh so brightly on this album,,Magnificent drumming by Mike Portnoy and the addition of Jordan Rudess on keyboards brings Dream Theater more into the prog world and his talent on keyboards and piano is BRILLIANT.This album tells a story and is best listend to from start to finsih!i was floored when i first heard this album and cant recommend it high enough!!A definte must have album for D.T. fans and prog music lovers!!You really need to follow this up with the equally impressive and out of this world DVD Live Scenes From New York!!!Go buy both NOW!!!!"
