CD Reviews

No garbage here
Matt B. Groneman | New Orleans, LA | 12/13/2003

"So what if this is all material from '92-'97? This is intended as a retrospective a "Chronicle" of what he has done. Not only does it have an excellent, punny title, but it features some master hooks. Dre's production, which is what is showcased on this album, not his rapping as the last reviewer assumed, is phenomenal. He is a pioneer and shaped the whole musical landscape for much of the '90s and complete redefined the genre of rap."
OKay. (My Name is O.I.)

"This albunm was alright. IT was kinda fuzzy, because they only had one Dr. Dre album to put in the greatest hits, and That was The Chronic. Five songs from the album were on here. Somewere Dre produced songs, one was a remix, two were songs that he appeared on other albums. But to tell you the truth, they did not have enough material. This CD needed fillers. I kinda wish Dre stayed on Death Row longer to make one more album. Probably that Helter Skelter Dre and Cube rumored album shoulda came out..."
