"The Love Album by Doris Day features a great assortment of beautiful love songs by an underrated talent, Doris Day. Doris is in excellent form on this album and the artwork is very nicely done. I also think that the sound quality is excellent.

"For All We Know" is the first track; and Doris sings this beautifully. The musical arrangement has an elegant piano arrangement and the strings enhance the natural beauty of this number. Doris sings her heart out on "For All We Know" and this really tugs at my heartstrings when Doris sings this charming ballad. "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" features Doris front and center as she sings this classic pop vocal; this love song is heavenly when Doris caresses the lyrics beyond perfection. Doris sings "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" with great sensitivity and I love every minute of it!

Listen also for Doris on "Street Of Dreams;" this shines when Doris Day performs it with panache. Doris' timing and excellent diction really makes her delivery beautiful to listen to over and over again. "Life Is Just A Bowl Of Cherries" gets a slower tempo than I'm used to but Doris makes this work; and it holds its own very well. The sophisticated arrangement makes "Life Is Just A Bowl Of Cherries" even better!

"All Alone" has a very pretty melody; and Doris really sings with this with all her heart and soul. I truly enjoy hearing Doris Day singing "All Alone." Great! There's also "Wonderful One;" Doris delivers this with a certain sensitivity I rarely hear or enjoy. The musical arrangement that accompanies Doris fits in just right to make "Wonderful One" a very special number.

"If I Had My Life To Live Over/Let Me Call You Sweetheart" sparkles as Doris gives this the full royal treatment; these gorgeous ballads sound as if they were written expressly for Doris; she makes them sound so fresh and new with her very fine voice! Doris' voice is truly a finely tuned instrument. "It's Magic" is a song Doris loved to sing; and she never misses a beat! The lush musical arrangement lacks nothing--it's all THAT good. The CD also ends nicely with Doris performing "Sentimental Journey;" she aces this easily and this classic love song never sounded better!

Overall, Doris Day fans will love this CD. People who like classic pop vocals and even the "oldies" will enjoy this album for many years to come.

Thank you, Doris!

A beautiful album!

"This, I am told, is the last album Doris Day recorded, and, it is absolutely delightful. The songs are all old and familiar

standards. Doris is, as usual, in excellent voice, and the arrangements are lush and appealing. From my point of view,

Doris retired from singing much too early. Further, her movies were so successful that her singing tended to be undervalued, at least in the last 15 or so years of her career. For my money, she is absolutely among the best of the best singers ever. If you like good music, you can't go wrong with this one."

"Superb! What a showcase for one of the most beautiful voices in the world! Doris Day could make "Ta Ra Ra Boom De-ay" sound like a ballad :-)

The songs on this recording are so beautiful and touching. Even my pets (1 dog, 2 cats) become quiet and mellow when I play this one!

I love Doris Day....always have and always will; there is no one like her :-)"
