Synopsis

Album Description
Due to Don Shiva's strong and touching visions of the Indian god SHIVA two years ago while producing his first album "Rama Ho", he underwent a long journey to find his most inner peace. India is the land of thousand sounds, it is a treasure chest containing an enormous amount of musical forms of expressions in all its richness. This is a cultural inheritage, which extends from the complex classical Indian music with roots dating back to the 13th century to various forms of traditional religious music inspired by Hindus and Buddhists and further to the modern pop songs, which are produced by the gigantic film industry of Mumbai (Bombay). "Bollywood Lounge" is lounge music strongly influenced by this traditional Indian music, Bhangra Beats, Bollywood Tunes and Electronic/Ambient. Some of the tracks sounds familiar, due to Punjabi MC's popularity, but in all this hype, it is not to be forgotten, that this Anglo-Asian club sound has developed over years. Workshops of this music style are found in London, Birmingham and other cities on the British island, but since music has no boundries, many DJ's and producers in the rest of Europe have taken up this trend - Don Shiva being one of them.

"Oh man, thanks for more beautifully mixed Indian vibes! This piece chills more into funky/jazzy...whatever. Forget the cheesy Bollywood stuff - this is still INDIA OM - Bom Shiva!"
