New Age at its Very Finest!
J. Barnett | Woodstock, GA United States | 08/25/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"My all time favorite New Age CD, I've had this one since it was released (1991) and I still play it VERY often. In fact, I'm listening to it right now as I write this!

I have been a fan of Steve Kindler since his days playing violin with John McLaughlin's Mahavishnu Orchestra. He went on to play with the Jan Hammer Group, Jeff Beck and Kitaro where his contributions prove the saying "the whole is greater than the sum of the parts" In other words, synergistic. He is without doubt the most soulful jazz/new age violinist I've ever heard!

Teja Bell is a phenomenal guitarist. Apparently he is an accomplished martial artist and it shows in his precise, focused playing. Beautiful and amazing!

Both Steve and Teja contribute on synthesizers and, while I don't know who is who, it is beautiful. A perfect blend with the acoustic and electric guitars and violins.

Kim Atkinson's percussion is the perfect foundation for this experience. I don't know if anyone else could have made this record any better.

All the songs here are fantastic; not a single so-so track. However, The Dolphin Suite is one of the best things I've ever heard and I love almost every kind of music there is. It is THE soundtrack of the dolphin... joyful, playful, powerful and sensual. An amazing, emotional journey. After you've listened to it, like the dolphin, you will feel "in harmony with the deep." Definitely in my all time Top 10 tracks!

Listening Advice: Turn the lights down a bit, grab a glass of wine and get comfortable. This music will not put you to sleep, but you will be VERY relaxed when it's over and it will be few minutes before you decide to get up and... play it again!

I promise you will love this one..."
