CD Reviews

Reb Beach holds his own in this celebration of Dokken hits!!
Paul J. Moreau | Memphis, TN, USA, ElvisLand | 01/21/2004
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I am a HUGE George Lynch fan.....that said, I am SICK of people who will only worship George and think anyone else on guitar sucks.....fact is, Reb did a GREAT job in his short time w Dokken, the Erase the Slate CD is the best Dokken effort at that point since Back for the Attack (buy Erase the Slate, you won't be disappointed!!) The companion DVD for this album kicks butt, it's great. Again, I love George, but Reb is a great guitar player, does all the Dokken classics justice, plus comes up with some great stuff of his own. This IS a good record!!!!"
Poor Dokken

"The albums are great, with having a former Winger guitarist with his ultimate play. However, I did not like the overall sound quality, Don didn't sound too well either with his singing. As for the performance, I think they did a great job! If you are looking into Live gig of Dokken, you might wanna consider checking the old era of Dokken's live album , "Beast from the East" which is 10 times better than this one. Plus it was recorded back in 1988, live in Budokan, Japan. George Lynch plays a very technical solos with more adlib play. He is a very admirable guitarists that is always practicing hours and hours on daily basis, and he always have a strong will to learn. Surprisingly, even during a tour concert, he spent hours rehearsing in the backroom coming up with great adlib solos.... which proves in this album. Once again, I would not recommend this if you are looking into hearing the real thing!"
