Synopsis

Album Description
Dishwalla's music speaks to people at a very personal level. The band consistently demonstrates a unique ability to write music that elevates the personal to the universal. The Santa Barbara-based band made quite the splash a few years back with Pet Your Friends, a provocative mix of pop savvy and soulful rock grind. Fueled by the smash hit single "Counting Blue Cars," the album blazed onto the pop charts and blanketed rock radio, with the video garnering heavy play on MTV and VH1. Between the fall of 2001 and the Summer of 2003 Dishwalla went on tour to promote their 2002 release Opaline. Produced by Gregg Wattenberg (Five For Fighting) and recorded in Los Angeles, the album proved relentless on the radio airwaves with the Top 20 hit, "Somewhere in the Middle." Touring Consistently for two Years, the band performed 258 shows in 470 days covering both ground and air. The performances were recorded live and these moments capture the band in what athletes call "the flow state." Dishwala was in the zone, redefining their boundaries and performing better than ever. Traveling with Navy Morale Welfare Recreation tour in Europe and North Africa on board the USS Nimtz only fueled the intensity of their performance. This live album is the result of a rock band doing what they love.

"I was on the USS NIMITZ during Operation Iraqi Freedom when Dishwalla came onboard to promote this album. I was never a fan of their music, like most of the ship all I knew was that they had sung that "Tell me all your thoughts on God" song. But seeing as we were at sea with nothing else to entertain us for 9 months, I went to the concert. I, and most of the crew was blown away. I rushed out and bought most of their albums at the next port. I loved this CD because it reminds me of that concert. This band really is one of those bands that sound better live. Buy this CD."
See that Dishwalla are just as good live as in studio

"Dishwalla is one of my favorite bands, rapidly becoming my most listened to artist. Opaline was the most incredible album I have heard in years, and one that I rarely go a day without listening to in its entirety. So when I was looking for more Dishwalla cds on HMV.com I seen this album. I ordered it right away and was pleasantly suprised when it showed up at my house 2 days later. I do not expect much from live albums, but it was a Dishwalla cd and since I owned all the previous cds (which I have purchased since Opaline moved me so much)I had to have this one. This live CD showed just what a great band Dishwalla is, because they sounded just as good live and they do in the studio. JR's vocals are incredible and the man's voice should be enjoyed by millons of more people than it already is. Its a shame they are not more well known. Buy this CD if you are a Dishwalla fan, you will not be dissapointed."
I own it and I love it!!!!

"Of all the Dishwalla CDs, soundtracks and EPs, this is by far their greatest release to date. Maybe they should have called this CD 'Their Greatest Hits'!"
