CD Reviews

Krall goes beyond the expected and delivers
D. Fair | Portland, Maine | 11/18/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"It is always an act of security to produce a predictable, work that sells and delivers. This epic by Krall and company, strays from such mainstream and touches a jazz feel that is a unique package. No, not the sexy chick torch song that she delivers so well, but artistic interpretations of music that is deep witin Krall's musical heart. Original tunes with the help of husband Elvis Costello, highlight some wonderful diversity in style and sound. The ensemble with Erskine, McBride and company is wonderful and so tight to Krall. If you take the chance, you'll find a satisfying journey that is the hallmark of a true artist. And, she still looks beautiful!"
