"Why had I never heard of Dela Dap before? I heard some cuts and was captivated. Was it Brazilian? One might guess so from the swaying rhythms and insistent percussion. And that voice must belong to a gorgeous Latina. But wait, that's not Portuguese, and what about that wonderful violin accompaniment? Surely that musician must be from the East...Russia? India? And is that an Accordion? This did not add up in a way I could identify - but it sure did work.



I found the Dela Dap web site and learned that they're an Eastern European Gypsy band with three great CDs (you can listen on-line). This is great music for listening or dancing. And there are some remixes available that are perfect for night club dancing.



Let's hope Dela Dap becomes more readily available!"
