Synopsis

Product Description
This comprehensive set of live performances represents the first time David S. Ware
has released live recordings of his quartet in a career that has spanned over thirty years. He, along with his esteemed band mates Matthew Shipp and William Parker are joined by three different world class jazz drummers who have crafted an audio journey that no jazz connoisseur can resist. Taken from three separate concerts, with three separate drummers, this three cd package explores the outer reaches of the many facets of his prowess as a musician.

David. S Ware is a jazz legend, pure and simple, but that'w where the simplicity ends. His complex and blazing saxophone work has received praise from around the world, dubbing him as a grandmaster of jazz. This collection finds not only Mr. Ware's soaring horn, but also the intricate stylings of Matthew Shipp, William Parker, Susia Ibarra, Guilermo E. Brown and Hamid Drake. Mr. Ware is a spiritual entity, and it's easy to tell that everything that he does is a direct result of his involvement in spirituallity Its as if every note from his sax cries to the heavens. This recording is a solid, tangible example of the power of one man's soul, taking the form of music.
