BEST DAVID J. ALBUM YOU COULD BUY !

"DAVID J's. "ON GLASS" Album is basically a compilation of all the best songs he did under the Glass label, including a couple great songs with The Jazz Butcher & of course V for Vendetta's Alan Moore. Mostly Pop tunes very unlike his newer releases, but still HIGHLY recommended ! You can't go WRONG with a "best of" album like this, and you should be glad that they've re-released it as for years it was impossible to find ! Try it !"
Excellent taste of david j solo material

"obviously if you've found this screen you already know a bit about david j/love and rockets/bauhaus "night of the silver veil" "saint jackie" and "docter/seducer" are great tunes but "crocodile tears and the velvet cosh" is absolutely amazing... so good theres two versions. "this vicious cabaret" is taken from alan moore's graphic novel "V for Vendetta" an insightful read. BUY THIS DISC"

"All but 2 or 3 of these tracks appeared on 12" EPs back in the day when people released singles for the hell of it being good, and not to promote a new album. Some of it was released under the name David J and the Jaywalkers. This collection shows a side of David J. that is not seen in any of his other solo work, nor with Bauhaus or Love and Rockets. It sounds like he enjoyed the feistiness of the Jazz Butcher Conspiracy because there do seem to be a few similarities to that stuff, or perhaps he had a bigger impact on them than the JBC admits too. It's a bit rowdier than his other solo albums. I wish there was more of this stuff."
