CD Reviews"DANZON BY SIX" Federico Britos- Elegante L. Dequesada | JAMAICA,, NY United States | 12/01/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "Definitely one of the best "Danzon" recordings I've ever heard. The violin solos are exquisite and so its its repertoire and everything about this compilation. My favorite "Cachao" Danzon creation "Santa" a "Danzon"version based on the famous Mexican bolero classic is fabulous. Also is every song in this album. Upon hearing it you can instantly detect the influence of maestro Israel Lopez "Cachao". A great present window to our glorious Cuban Music past.
If you love the "Danzon" do not miss this one. I highly recommend it.Fabulous job by Federico Britos." |
