Nostalgia favorites of Mexican children's songs

"The present volume ("Platinum Series -- 20 Hits", in English) is a collection of favorite children's songs by the Mexican songwriter-singer known as Cri-Cri, El Grillito Cantor ("Cri-Cri, the singing cricket"). Cri-Cri, in real life, is Francisco Gabilondo Soler.Cri-Cri sings of many childish things -- ducks who take their ducklings shopping ("La Patita"), animal orchestras ("Orquesta de Animales"), piglets at bedtime ("Cochintos Dormilones"). He animates inanimate objects such as the pot and the griddle ("La Olla y El Comal") and the fountain suffering from the heat ("El Chorrito"). And he recognizes the relationship between children and their grandparents in "Di Porqué" (Tell me why) and "El Ropero" (the wardrobe).I learned some of these songs while caring for Mexican nieces and nephews, and sang them to my own children; I was delighted to find them available now on comp! ! act disk. For me, and for many Mexicans, this will be a trip down memory lane. Children (of whatever age) who are learning Spanish will also enjoy this volume."
