CD Reviews

Absolutely the most beautiful, mystical music I have heard
03/13/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I first heard this music many years ago at a meditation group and was immediately sold. These are the most beautiful sounds played to perfection. I recently bought the CD (my cassette was getting a little worn) and introduced Coyote's sounds to my heavy rock loving husband who to his surprise sat in awe listening to it. I still use it for meditation, my husband uses it to drift off and relax with, this music can take you places!! I haven't met anyone yet who hasn't lost themselves in the Tear Of The Moon. Enjoy!"
This album began my journey into Coyote Oldman music...

"Haunting is a word best describing this album. Incan pan pipes and Native American flutes together create beauty through sound. The music was recorded during the time between dusk and dawn which make this a wonderful album to listen to at night. Nice echo effect, too. Reminds me how blessed I am to be able to hear such music."
The musical prescription for peace and tranquility
The Delite Rancher | Phoenix, Arizona | 04/26/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Being an audiophile, bed time seems like wasted time when not listening to great music. Most of the music this listener hears is too stirring to foster the mind frame necessary for a positive dream time. Enter Coyote Oldman. Some may dismiss this as new age music. There is an understandable skepticism about such music. Ultimately, such critics are missing out on "Tear of the Moon." This is the soundtrack to either a profound meditation or a good night's repose. Rest assured, "Tear of the Moon" is both relaxing and a quality listen. The Native American flutes and Incan pan pipes will gently carry the listener off to another world. Barry Stramp and Michael Graham Allen's aerophones dance in a mystical, reverb soaked state of tranquility. Originally released as a cassette, this version includes a twelve minute bonus track that brings the time up to a respectable CD length. "Tear of the Moon" is one of Coyote Oldman's most compelling vision quests.
