CD Reviews

The Single, Two Covers and a Video !!!

"By now, I hope everyone has heard American Girls somewhere, so you all know it is a great song. Even though the price is a little high on import singles this is well worth the purchase price. The Crows do an amazing job on the Teenage Fan Club song "Start Again" and an even better job on Sparklehorse's "Someday I will treat you good". To top it off, the Enhanced portion of the CD is the American Girls video and it is REALLY high quality. It is nice to see that bands are getting things right on the Enhanced parts of the disk.Overall, if you are a counting crows fan, you need to have this single. If you are just getting into counting crows, I would make sure you own the studio releases first (August and Everything After, Recovering the Satellites, This Desert Life, Hard Candy). They are the most band for you buck."
If you love them live.......you have to get this

"If you have seen the Counting Crows live, you know you end up lusting after every song they do that isn't on a released album. Sometimes (a lot of times) they do songs that are deamed not good enough for album release. This falls into that catagory. (If you are cheap and don't mind diminished sound quality at times, check out countingcrows.com. The Crows allow audio taping of their shows for trading on their web site. You contact someone on the trader network who has the date you want, send them the correct number of blank CDs and they copy for you. How great is that?)I personally want all the released CDs and live shows there are out there."
