"This band, like so many european bands of the day, are more or less forgotten by all but the most rabid metal freaks. Too bad. Cloven Hoof weren't truly innovative, but they weren't slavish clones either and what they did, they did with aplomb. This is a dark, melodic little 80's metal gem with plenty of atmosphere and character. Arguably, this is an early influence on Black Metal as well, given the occult fixation of the lyrics. If you are a fan of british metal along the lines of Angel Witch, Diamond Head or Witchfynde, you really should make an effort to experience this album. Some will say I'm mad, but I love the cover art and band photos as well (remember this was released around 1983)."
