Clay's Opry Debut
Marvin H. Phibbs | Clarksville, TN | 04/04/2000

"I have been following Clay Davidson's career since May 1995...A friend of mine from SW Virginia allowed me to see the video of Clay's performance in winning the Charlie Daniels' talent search contest.......I made the remark...."he has the talent, the voice, etc ...and all he needs is a break in the business...", and I belive Clay has earned his mark the old-fashion way....he's worked for it...anyway...I was fortunately able to attend the Grand Ole Opry on the night of March 11, 2000 and stayed for both shows...He was awesome...and needless to say...the audience gave him a very loud ovation...and well deserving....He gave me a big smile and pointed at my SALTVILLE, VA T-shirt...as I was clicking pictures as fast as I could....the song "Unconditional" goes staight to the heart...it's a real-life experience...and it happens! ...and what an awesome musical arrangement along with the natural offering from Clay's own heart and soul....What more can I say?...I'm a FAN and wish him all the best on the George Strait Tour and thereafter....Marvin H. Phibbs, Clarksville, TN....and formerly of Glade Spring, Va."

"You all are in for a real treat. Clay is awesome. He sings from the soul and you will feel it the second he starts a song. I have witnessed it first hand. I am in the Air force and worked with Clays brother. While I was stationed in Las Vegas he used to come visit his brother there. They would come over and we would play and sing until early morning. WOW, what a blast. I also went and seen him open for some guy named Kenny Chesney down in Witchita Falls, Tex and I think Kenny should have been opening for Clay. Me, Clay and a couple of our friends took our guitars to the lounge at the holiday in and sung until they kicked us out. If you get a chance to see him dont waste it. He is the best and a real true person."

"I heard Unconditional for the first time just yesterday......WOW! What a powerful song. He sang it as if it came from his very soul....Good luck Clay. I'm really looking forward to buying your first album."
