Album Description

Two disc retrospective of the finest singles, album tracks, B-sides & assorted rare gems by Australia's premier alternative rock group. 'Hindsight' spans the group's formative years, from their start in 1981 to 1987, the year before they would become superstars with their smash hit "Under The Milky Way". 'Hindsight', never released in the U.S., used to be extremely hard to find on disc & very expensive if you were lucky enough to do so (about $50 retail in 1988). At this low price, you'd be hard pressed to find a cheaper & better overview of one of the '80s absolute finest modern rock groups .

"It's not the fact that it includes a 'greatest hits' package as part of the total. It's all the great tracks that you simply can't get anywhere else. It's Steve Kilbey's liner notes that help take you into the music. And most of all, it's the sheer genius of The Church at their very best. I had this collection on audio cassette, and wore it out, and replaced it, and wore it out again, all before I even knew the CD version existed (there are still record stores that insist it doesn't!) Every fan should have this in their collection."

"I realize that the phrase 'A Must Have' is overused but this release is an absolute for any fan of the early music by The Church. I purchased this disc back in '94 for $35, $19 is a steal. There are several (10) songs never released on CD until this compilation was released. The songs are very high quality, it is like another entire album."
