Her voice is like an entire ensemble, many tones, pitchs, textures, pace, and attitude. It almost has a life of its' own. She rocks, enchants, makes you laugh and is sassy and sultry, all within one phrase. Wow! She is my first choice when I really want to "listen" to good jazz singing. This is an excellent CD. I rated it a 4 only because her "Steppin" CD is so awesome, everything else pales in comparison. If you like Krall and Stacy Kent (how come she gets so little hype here?), wait until you hear Baron.
