This Is The Real Deal...............SUPERB

"Who is Chris Cowie. I didnt know until a chance reccomendation by a friend. My music is very important to me but lately it has been ever so difficult to find genuine good music. After listening to this album which impressed the hell out of me I then scoured the net for information on Chris Cowie. There is a lot I can tell you that. His credentials are longer than the River Nile but there is no space here for that. The most interesting information I came across is that he has produced and written around 200 records. Surely that should be in the Guiness Book of records? Chris Cowie was born in Scotland in a city called Aberdeen. Apparantley this is the same city Annie Lennox comes from so hes in good company. His musical background started when he was in his teens and from there he eventually launched his own record labels called Hook Recordings and Bellboy records, so enough of the history lets check out the album. It was no easy task to find the album. I called many record stores and not a single one had it in stock. I live in Washington by the way and well its not like we are in the sticks know what I mean. I eventually tracked it down here. Why this album is barely available is beyond comprehension as this is a classic album. I guess record companies dont know what they have. At one point I nearly gave up the search but I am so glad I didnt. The album is 'Pure Genius' as quoted by none other than our very own 'Danny Tennagglia'. I would go further and say not only is Chris Cowie a genius, but in my opinion this is one of the best electronic album made in the last 5 years. Forget Chemical, Underworld, Fatboyslim, Orbital. This is the real deal. The album has 22 tracks. How many loser tracks do you think there are? Answer: Not A Single One..... How many albums do you have in your collection that you can say that.A description of each track would be impossible here. All I can say is you will not regret purchasing this album if you can find it. This album has been on my Hi Fi non stop for 2 weeks and I can tell you that is very rare for me, and I show no signs of becoming bored in the slightest. My collection of nearly 120 CD's has been enhanced greatly from this unknown (and god only knows why) artist. The album itself is slightly difficult to describe. It doesnt blast off and then die within the first 3 tracks. The music is deep but not unaccesible Aphex Twin, its funky, but not James Brown or Groove Armada, ITS ORIGINAL which is a rare thing these days. The tracks range from the Beautifully crafted down tempo 'Mind Field',and 'Time Flies' to the super Funky 'Flash Funk' and 'Junk Funk' But seriously they are all good those hust happen to be the titles I remember at the moment. Will I still like this album in a years time. Guaranteed I will. I will go further and say I could still be listening to this album in 10 years time.Even my 2 daughters who are pop fans like this album. Most amazingly my wife likes the album. She actually slapped it on to the Hi Fi herself. The last time she put on some music was last Xmas. That was when I knew this album was something special. Great I dont have to listen with headphones all the time.I must thank Steve for constantly barraging me to buy this album. Thanks man, I owe you one.And I must thank Chris Cowie for giving me some of the best music I have heard in the last 5 years.Chris Cowie should be well known, but hey its our secret isnt it. Theres something real cool knowing that not many people have this album. But It Now !"

"I'm halfway through listening to this CD and I'm absorbed in it's deep funky grooviness.....or is that deep groovy funkiness? So many "compilations" these days are mixed (often digitally) in an effort to create some kind of groove. I appreciate a compilation where the songs are allowed to play out to their completion, as is the case with this one. It's easier to mix too :)"
