Arrau Recital

"I prefer Idel Biret's rendition of the Chopin Sonata but I would also give Arrau's rendition high marks. The playing was a bit more reserved than Biret's. I liked Arrau's approach to the Fantasy in F and I believe it compares favorably to the other versions I own by Rubinstein and Fou Ts'ong. I give the disc a five star rating for the Weber and Mendelsohnn works that aren't often recorded."
