CD ReviewsThe best Brazilian poet of all times 01/25/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "Chico Buarque is the best brazilian poet and composer of all times. "Chicocanta" (in English: "Chico sings") is the soundtrack of a play called "Calabar", written by Chico. The play was censored and Chico had to change some of the lyrics in the album. This album represents the resistance of brazilian musicians against the ditactorial government that took place in my country in the 60's - 70's. It's a classic for brazilians and everybody who's eventually interested in brazilian popular music."
