There is nothing ground-breaking here, just some enjoyable Bill Holman charts played by some above average studio musicians, not the least of whom include Charlie Shavers and Phil Woods.My favorite chart is Charlie Barnet's original "Evergreens", but there are also nice renditions of "Midnight Sun", "Goodbye" and "Flying Home" as well. The original album's liner notes are included as well as a complete description of player personnel and recording dates.The only real disappointment is that there are no solos by the great Phil Woods, who is a member of the reed section for this session."
