"This CD has so many fantastic songs. Moanin' is one of my favorite jazz charts, and no one does it better than Ronnie Cuber. The musicians in these recordings are truely some of the jazz greats. There are tons of solo sections, which will wow anyone no matter what they play. I am a bass trombonist, and Dave Taylor (bass bone on this CD) is in my opinion the best jazz bass trombonist ever, and it is evident in this CD. These songs by Mingus are truely unique in style, only similar to the Maria Schneider jazz charts. Musician or not, get Mingus Big Band 93:Nostaliga in Times Square."
