Jorgensen | Tallahassee, FL USA | 07/05/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "This excellent disc boasts some orchestral superstars such as Glenn Dicterow, the concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic, and Stanley Drucker, the principal clarinetist of the NYPO. They play wonderful chamber music, and the pieces are both fun and moving.Particularly, my favorite piece on the CD is the 2nd Violin Sonata. This is a piece that perform myself, so I enjoy hearing someone else's interpretation. While very different from my own, Dicterow's playing sparkles, as does the excellent pianist Margarit. Make no mistake, it is a VERY difficult piece that they set out to record, and the performers negotiate its traps and pitfalls almost perfectly! The last movement of the sonata is extremely moving!DEFINITELY invest in this disc"
