Synopsis

Album Description
Emerging seven months after the release of their last album, "Elemental", Cesium_137 have returned with an enlightening EP. "Luminous" features pristine mixes of new and older tracks remixed by the likes of Imperative Reaction, Haujobb, Flesh Field, and Sweep, as well as four brand new tracks not found anywhere else. The resounding effect by mixing the tracks from "Elemental" along with brand new songs gives a "Luminous" synthesis to the evolution of Cesium 137, highlighting where they've been and where they're going. As an added bonus, a short film is included set to the new song, "The Weakener". This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.

CD Reviews

Cesium_137 doing what they do best

(4 out of 5 stars)

"okay, so - the 'elemental' album was one of the best albums to come out in years from the industrial dance/ebm/synthpop genre, and what a wide genre it is.

my initial suggestion - watch how much you're willing to spend for this album. why? because only a handful of the tracks are new. the rest are remixes. not that they're bad, mind you, it's just that i have this thing against artists [and especially from this genre] who release entire albums of nothing but remixed tracks from earlier albums. is it to squeeze another couple of bucks out of the fans? is it to whet the appetite for a soon.to.be.released brand new album? or have they simply lost their creativity and are searching desperately to find it again, and release a remix album to keep people from wondering - "well, what ARE they doing?"

who knows.

but what i do know is that cesium_137 has definitely caught my attention for the time being, and i'll be playing this album in the meantime."
