Smooth, beautiful playing

"Mr. McTier is known for being one of the best classical bass soloists currently out there, but he isn't really known for particularly aggressive, risky playing. All pieces are smooth and note-perfect with little straying from the printed page. In other words, there really isn't any unqiue phrasings or interpretions. That wouldn't stop me from suggesting it or from buying other recordings. I've seen him perform live, and he is somebody to watch in the future."
