Synopsis

Product Description
Cappadonna is back, at his best, to bring you The Cappatilize Project: the most powerful and most influential Wu-Tang Clan album to hit the streets since Enter the Wu-Tang. Cappadonna first appeared on "Ice Cream" from the notable Only Built 4 Cuban Linx and left listeners thirsting for more after dropping jewels on the banging "Winter Warz." Already having been labeled the 10th member of the clan, these guest spots earned him a place as an official Wu-Tang member. Dubbed "Papi the Wardrobe King" for his colorful slang on Wu-Tang Forever, he released his first solo album in 1998, The Pillage, which charted at number three and went gold in less than a month. He followed up in 2001 with his sophomore smash The Yin and the Yang and a compilation of his most beloved songs and guest appearances called Cappadonna's Hits. Since then, he has dropped The Struggle (2003) and the mixtapes Wu-South and The Greatest Dartz Ever Sold and he was the lead-off rapper on Wu-Tang's latest album, 8 Diagrams. Straight from Shaolin, this Staten native delivers a soulful, neck-snapping album on The Cappatilize Project. Hit after hit it will touch your heart and move your spirit as Cappadonna drops science like it was 1988. With appearances by Q-Dini, Born Divine, Lounge Lo, and more, no one can resist this raw, uncut sound. It's time to Cappatilize.

CD Reviews

4th solo is another pretty good one

"It's been 5 years since Cappadonna dropped a solo, but he returns with anther good one. Of his 4 solo's, It's tied for my 3rd favorite (with "The Yin & the Yang"), though not as good as "The Struggle" or the classic "The Pillage", it's still a good album. With 15 songs, many are short and under 3 minutes, you get guests on 7, so not a s much of Cap as you'd probably want to hear after a long break. Of the 15 songs, 7 are ok, 7 are good, a few being real good, and 1 is almost a classic. Production is pretty good as well. Q-Dini does 5 songs, Solo and Fontane each do 2, and Big Zick, Spinzilla, Sosa, B-Rock, Sparx, and Danjah mentals all do 1 song. A nice album for his fans, and look for his "Slang Prostitution" slated for an early '09 release.

Tell your Story Walkin- Cap's Back Again!
Kid Hyperbarix | West Coast | 09/02/2008
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I've always been a fan of Cappadonna since "Ice Cream"-but I must admit, I didn't know what to expect with this "Cappitalize Project".

Suprisingly, Cappadonna drops a pretty solid album this time around. I bought the album and every time I spin it, I like it more and more!

Cappa adds some personal & spiritual topics along with a mixture of some hood/uplifting beats.

Favorite trax include:

Dream

Don't Turn Around

Cap's Back Again

Tug Dat Rope

The Annointing

Growth and Development
