Are you kiddin', one half of the world saxophone quartet...in their prime....beautifully recorded in a studio...this is a musical conversation by the best improvisers...those guys are all over their instruments...this is no over aggressive blowing, just articulate, intelligent musical dialogue.

I played the record to death many years ago. It's great to see it available on disc now. Be warned: it's a limited addition and probably will be unavailable after the initial sell off...

This recording is, then, an essential musical document...Lake on the left speaker, Hemphill on the right....all the breathiness, the bravado, and the rollicking sweetness....especially the dual altos that defy gravity, screeching to a halt all too soon...those were the days indeed."
