This is the EP that started it all, showcasing Burlap to Cashmere at their very best -- live. Burlap to Cashmere is one of the most innovative bands in CCM, with poetic lyrics and strong musical compositions. Their folky, acoustic guitar-infused sound is both hypnotic and thought-provoking. Live at the Bitter End includes the poignant "Eileen's Song" and "Basic Instructions," (th latter their passionate treatise on salvation). Burlap to Cashmere's velvet sound is alternative CCM as it should be.

"Having seen this band of 7 cousins and friends play over 6 times, both indoors and out, I would have to agree with what they say about themselves. "The band has deep roots in folk and world music. Simon & Garfunkle, Harry Chapin, and Cat Stevens are some of the core infuences on the song writing. Combine this with arrangements full of flamenco guitar, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and Greek bazouki music and a very unique but reminiscent sound is created.""
One of the best buys I have made recently!

"This is a wonderful LP. I was moved to tears for the first time in years by the first track. The drums are wonderful, giving so much power to the message that they give. The album captures the tension that is there with their live performances as weel as you could. I highly recommend it!"
