"I would just like to say this CD is absolutly wonderful! I've played the violin for 10 years now and my former instuctor gave me this CD as a gift. Before hand I had never even heard of Mendelssohn and now I adore him! The violin solos are just soooo passionate. I recommend this Cd to any music lover."

"I was freshening up my classical collection and I remembered something from over a decade ago. My Grandmother and I had heard an absolutely amazing violin performance. We called the violinist "The Spit Lady" for some reason (I have an odd family). This memory of The Spit Lady popped in my head and I searched for her name. She is Helena Spitkova. So, I bought a couple CD's with her as a performer (this being one of them) and was blown away. The passion this woman sings through the strings of her violin could tear a hole through the darkest parts of hell. Perlman, Zuckerman... move aside. The Spit Lady is here."
