Synopsis

Product Description

This is a karaoke/accompaniment album of songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical, Jesus Christ Superstar. These are not the original artists, this is a re-recorded album with a new cast.
Each song appears on the album twice, once with accompaniment tracks and guide vocals (tracks 1-12), and a second version with the accompaniment tracks alone (tracks 13-24). This album can be played in any CD player. All songs are recorded in the original show key and the show tempo. There are no on-screen lyrics, or lyric booklets provided with this album. This album is great for rehearsals or practing at home.

"The backing tracks were all professionally done. Not extraordinary. Just up there professional. Perfectly adequate for your performances without the nuisance of knowing you've done well singing only to see the momentum held bk by feeble backing. The demo singing was even better. JCSS isn't the type of musical that lends itself to half hearted demo singing because of its intensity and its complexity. All demo singers did a great job esp Gethsamene. Only small whining would be agst the demo of *I don't know how to love him*. The singer had power but could have piled on the angst and tender sorrow more.

All in all, a worthy piece of job. I've bought many musical karaokes. I've seen much worse plenty."

"I am so disappointed in this product that words cannot begin to describe how I feel. While the original Jesus Christ Super Star CD has about 21 songs with vocals, this accompaniment only has 12 tracks with accompaniment. For example, there are no instrumentals for "Jesus Must die" or Judas's death". The available accompaniments are severely compromised, verses are cut off and some are so out of pitch. If you are looking for accompainment for the entire Jesus Christ Super Star soundtrack, this is NOT the product for you.
