CD Reviews

I Have Got To Say- AWESOME!
Carl Johnson | Detroit, MI United States | 04/06/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I usually try to be a bit objective when it comes to concert recordings. This John Martyn/Danny Thopson recording is soo intimate you almost feel like you can touch them! This is recorded at the Brewery Art Center before an intimate audience. All the players shine. If you haven't seen John or Danny live, see them separately. They occasionally do still tour together and if your town is soooo lucky buy a ticket. This CD contains mostly John's song played with a small acoustic ensemble (Acoustic guitar with effects, string bass and percussion) ((the last half he does use an electric guitar)), but you can really feel like your there. John's songs along with Danny's playing fill the hall with magic! A Folk Rock Lover's Awesome spin!"
