Arrau plays Brahms

"Claudio Arrau is without a doubt one of the greatest pianists ever, and he has made some of the best Brahms recordings. This box set contains the 4 Ballades, 25 Variations on Handel's Theme, both Paganini Book Variations, Sonatas 2 & 3, Scherzo in E Flat, and both Piano Concertos with Bernard Haitink conducting the Royal Concertgebouw. All of the rank and as some of the definite recordings for the works particularly with the Paganini Variations and the first Concerto. Although many prefer the Brahms recordings of Wilhelm Kempff, Julius Katchen Artur Rubinstein and Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, any Arrau or Brahms fans cannot miss this box set."
