"Once more, I really am at a loss for words. Celibidache weaves his magic spell over this beautiful sounding orchestra and gets results that are most indescribable.A level of music making that comes only once in a generation.
Buy this set if you want to hear Brahms in a totally new light, a light that radiates from within."

"This recording is undoubtly great. The special way of conducting impregnates the music with a very particular sound and tempo. I'm very acquainted with the version of the 4th symphony conducted by Carlos Kleiber and it also is fantastic, but now I think that listening one version or the other will depend on my frame of mind."
