A Treasure!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you have any of his "Best of" CDs, this Bobby Vee package will round out your collection, and it includes some real treasure finds that you may not have heard before, such as his renditions of Mr. Blue, All You Got to Do is Touch Me, and Well...All Right. It also includs Never Love a Robin and A Letter from Betty, which I personally enjoy and are not found on other hits compilations. If you listen to both disks, there are admittedly more than one or two tracks that are pretty average, but listenable. However, on balance, you are struck by the talent and versatility of a man that had a reasonably long and successful career. He was not just a Buddy Holly sound alike who hung on for a few years. And, he is a good guy. Like a lot of stuff from the early to late sixties, this is great fun. So, enjoy!"
