Nude Review

""Johnny Gumbo's Nude Lounge", The Very Best of the Black Sorrows is a different title for a different CD. If you are after top quality mastering and good presentation then this is the Sorrows CD for you. Unlike "The Chosen Ones" best of, this CD has many tracks that go beyond what you can hear on radio. This means that top quality Sorrows songs such as "The Big Time", "Dear Children", "Down To The Sea", "Caribbean Wind", (Dylan)and many others can be enjoyed, as well as the more popular tracks. Joe Camilleri has put together an outstanding CD that shows a lot of thought. In every aspect this CD shines even though he described the task of compiling the CD as "not the sweetest gig". The process may have not been to sweet, but it is worth every minute invested to have such a great compilation.
If you are looking for a Sorrows album to buy it would be hard to go past this one."
Deepest Black Sorrows!

"Wow, this incredible compilation is one of the best for a band that spans nearly 20 years of great tracks. I've purchased as many of the original CD's/LP's from this band, but this compilation includes re-mastered tracks (by the band leader and song writer Joe Camilleri) and singles unavailable on LP.38 tracks run from 1984-1997 and include Lucky Charm, Snake Skin Shoes, Harley & Rose, Hold On To Me, Ain't Love The Strangest Thing, Come On, Come On, Hold It Up To The Mirror, and a cover of Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl. You'll want this compilation, even if you own (and can find the other CD's), some CD's you should also seek out include 'Better Times', 'Lucky Charm', 'Hold On To Me', 'Harley & Rose' and the Revelators lp. 'Amazing Stories' - try searching at gemm.com - you'll probably have to buy them from Australia, but it's worth it.Pop-songwriting, with soul, spirit and intelligent, these songs and covers are some of the finest written, VERY Highly Recommended."
Such A Great Collection

"Such a great collection from such a great band. Fans of John Mellencamp & the likes will absolutely love this album. I do. The Black Sorrows have put out several other albums as well but they seem to be quite hard to find. And you don't really need those that much when you have this collection: all their best songs (well, most of my favorite stuff by them) can be found on this collection as well as some lost gems so I'd suggest you give this one a try and get the other albums later. "Harley & Rose" and "The Chosen Ones" are my favorite albums by them (excluding this one) but the others are not that bad either. Such a great band & such a great album..."
