Tony Iommi, Tony Martin and Cozy Powell recorded 3 albums together from '88-'95, and this definitive trilogy is represented here. These were peak years for Sabbath, with the band delving into experimentation and eery brilliance like never before or since. There are some great tracks not appearing here--of course, this set is no substitute for the complete cd's which thankfully are still available. However, as an introduction to Black Sabbath this is a great purchase. This era, no matter how tremendous, always takes a backseat to the more commercially successful earlier periods. But artistically Black Sabbath were at their height during these years."
