"When I heard "Love is on the way" I thought for sure this was a number one hit, and while the charts didn't do it justice, the cd is wonderful. Billy is one hellva a great singer."

An overlooked gem

"What can I say? This album is, along with Maxwell's debut and Gladys Knight's Just For You, one of my favourite real SOUL albums of the 90s. Billy's voice soars and dives on this ablum, delivering the songs with real passion missing from most current r'n'b. It's probably because the songs and arrangements aren't considered hip at the moment - they are real songs, not merely a groove, but it's a crime that this did so little business and he hasn't released another album. Check out his glorious reading of Love is on the Way or the gospelized Maybe I'm Amazed - shivers up the spine material. Search this one out."

"I just saw Billy's solo show in NYC and it confirmed my admiration for this fine artist. His range and power of voice are truly wonderful. There was no studio tricks on the album to make him sound good. He is all natural. Pay whatever price you have to and get this CD."
