"To say that I am a Billy Lawrence fan would be an understatement. I became a fan when I heard her first single "Happiness" on my local radio station almost 7 years ago. The song was different from anything being played at the time and Ms. Lawrence's vocal style intrigued me. The next day I searched for and bought her debut album "One Might Say." Seven years later, I still listen to the album on a regular basis. It, in my opinion, is an incredible experience. Each song has it's own unique flavor and appeal and is such a wonderful change of pace from the Pop Diva's that have reigned the 90's by belting out bubble gum pop. This album explores such a broad variety of music styles and Billy Lawrence's voice is a unique and unmatched gift. I would reccomend this album to anyone who is a fan of Pop/Soul/R & B music. You are in for an incredible treat. Even better, her sophomore effort "Paradise" matches the greatness of "One Might Say." Why Billy has never become better known is WAY beyond me. I am proud to say that she remains one of my favorite artists of all time and I SINCERELY hope that her fans will be blessed with a third album SOON!!!!"

"I was in college when this album came out. I was a rocker! Definitely an anti pop guy. One night I was in a record store with a friend of mine who was spending way to much time in browsing. Out of bordem I put on a pair of headphones at a display. An hour later I had listened all the way through this CD. Needless to say, this album made it's way into my collection as one of my RARE POP purchases. As a music industry person I would highly recommend this CD to any music lover!"
I loved this cd...it's so soothing.

"I already have "Paradise" and it's one of m favorites in an over 100 cd collection. I just discovered she had a previous cd and I had to have it. I'm not the least bit dissapointed."
Ditto on her being underrated!!

"I remember going to Tower Records when it was in the "new release" sample area, where you can listen to the whole album. I must say this was probably the ONLY album I've ever heard in one of those booths that I was just floored by.
I hadn't heard of her previous to that. I was in college by then. I listened to the whole album over and over. It had a very unique sound to it. Dare I say almost a pre-cursor to Alicia Keys...maybe because they look a little similar. She had a big hit with MC Lyte, but that was pretty much her biggest spotlight. But it was pretty different from this album.
Anyway, I was just looking thru old cds and came upon it. The case was empty and I remember my cd case was stolen from my car a while back. It must have been in there. I'm glad it's still on sale here!"

"This cd was awesome. It had great beats and really made me want to dance. It also drew me closer to the guy I was with. The entire cd just made me melt in his arms."
