CD ReviewsSpacious Mind - 'Sleepy Eyes And Butterflies' (Gates Of Dawn Mike Reed | USA | 06/06/2007 (4 out of 5 stars) "Worthy 1995 release by this Swedish space rock five piece. Looks to be their third effort. I guess this release was originally put out as a 2-lp vinyl but later reissued as a 2-CD pressing. That's a good thing for patrons like myself that aced our turn tables long ago. Anyway, I didn't know this until now, but appears that disc one is actually a re-release of their 'Cosmic Minds At Play' CD. Still, for the asking price here you can't go wrong. Tracks on disc two are the actual 'Sleepy Eyes' record put on compact disc. These three cuts are your typical Spacious Mind brain-altering cosmic madness. Liked all three, "Alice Of Strange" (11:03), "Your Mind And Mine" (13:34) and the awesome "Space Blues-Diary Of The Sun" (17:05). Essential, if you dig this genre."
