"Bigg Snoop Dogg literally comes from nowhere with this release Snoop Dogg Presents Welcome To Da Chuuuch. If you had any expectations from this after listening to the first few Welcome To Da Chuuuch mixtapes then this cd will be a huge disappointment. This is coming from one of Snoop's biggest fans...this album is weak. First off, this is a compilation of mostly new R&B artists so if you are looking for an album with more rapping then singing, this isn't it. Second, there are only 13 songs on the cd, and third there aren't any standout songs on this album. As a matter of fact I don't think this cd even has a single. There are some solid songs though such as James - Remember Me, DPGC reunion track Real Soon, 9 Inch Dix (what kinda name is that? They aren't gonna blow up with that name!) - Smokin on My Bud, and JBlack - Sunshine but the rest of the tracks are filler material. The one new rapper Tiffany Foxxx is borderline horrible and her content is really weak. Overall, this is a cd that you can skip out on and not miss too much...hopefully the next Welcome To Da Chuuch will offer something a little more."

"BIG SNOOP DOGG PRESENTS

WELCOME TO THA CHUUCH DA ALBUM

I was extremely excited when this cd first came out because it marked KURUPT'S return to the Dogghouse family, he had already dropped the 2nd DPG album but this was first time with Snoop and them. So I was excited about this release, was it worth the anticipation?

1.SISTERS N BROTHERS-an excellent start to the album, although to me this sounds like a song one would use to end an album. But still this is an excellent song featuring J BLACK, SNOOP DOGG, & MIRA MIRA. J Black is excellent on the vocals handling the hook nicely, and Snoop hits up some nice verses laying it down with some serious lyrics. This is the Snoop I want to see more often, not all that radio stuff he seems to be doing a lot of these days. Also Mira Mira comes in at the end with some nice vocals to take us out to "March to the revolution", and the beat by JELLY ROLL is excellent.4.8/5

2.SHAKE THAT S***-now I don't see how we went from the previous song into this one, but none the less this is a decent song. The beat from TERRACE MARTIN while kinda simplistic, still knocks hard. Also I like TIFFANY FOXX and her flow, she isn't the greatest female mc but she isn't the worst. The only real problem with this song is Snoop, he just doesn't sound right on this track.4/5

3.JUST THE WAY YOU LIKE IT-next up we have an r&b song by the 9 INCH DIX, and of course Snoop is all over this song {he should let people get shine on their own and stop doing his P Diddy thing}. The song altogether isn't all that great, but the hook and the beat are good [THE BEAT IS ACTUALLY EXCELLNT]. The beat from SOOPAFLY [who is also on the song] is smooth and catchy like the chorus. Also on a side note HALF DEAD appears on this song.4/5

4.REMEMBER ME-we follow that song with another r&b track, and this one fairs better. This song could be a nice single for the album, and could help move more units. JAMES has a nice voice and handles the song greatly, and the beat from LARRANCE is smooth and cool.4/5

5.REAL SOON-finally we come to a song with KURUPT "Young Gotti", and it was worth the wait. This is an excellent song from the reformed DPGC and was a nice choice for a single. The song as a feel to it that reminds me of the early G-Funk days during the early 90's. From BATTLECAT'S smooth lighthearted beat to the perfect hook from NATE DOGG. Daz kicks things off nicely with his verse, and Snoop sounds good on this track as he helps with the hook. And of course you know Kurupt held down the best verse on the track. Nate as well sings a great final verse with his infectious vocals. CLASSIC.5/5

6.SUNSHINE-J Black returns to grace us with his wonderful voice, in this nice little track. It's a cool track that was a good addition to the album, thanks in part to a smooth jazzy instrumental from Terrance Martin & MARLON WILLIAMS. J Black rides the track nicely with some smooth vocals, this track could have been a nice single.4.5/5

7.CAN'T FIND MY PANTIES-T Foxx returns with a much better song then the previous track, keeping with her more sexual side like the other. This track has a great beat from LT HUTTON, matched with great verses from Foxx. Over all this is a much better song then her previous attempt.4.5/5

8.WE WEST COAST-finally Kurupt returns to this album with a nice verse, not his best though. Still though Kurupt holds it down for his reformed Fam, and Daz comes in with a nice verse as well. To my surprise though Snoop came with a good verse after dropping an annoying hook. The thing holding this song back the most though is the beat, the beat by JOSEF is good with a cool sound but it sounds to much like a snoop beat. Daz sounds alright with it, but Kurupt sounds out of place on this beat to me, it might just be me.3.5/5

9.DINNER IN BED-I have got to be honest with you on this one, I didn't see this one coming. This song sounds like some Tori Amos/Dido stuff right here, from the beat to the lyrics to the over all sound. I don't know what attracted Snoop to this but what ever. To be honest the beat from MIRA MIRA who also preformed the song is actually kinda tight, I like the instruments that were used, it reminds me of something but I don't know what. And Mira herself has an excellent voice, so I guess this was a good inclusion to the album.3/5

10.IF-again Snoop can't help but get on everyone's song, this track would have been fine with just J Black doing the hook instead of Snoop doing it with him, he really needs to stop trying to be Diddy. But other ten that this track is cool, WENDI and YN do nicely on this song with nice vocals. And the beat from Terrance Martin is pretty good, I like the flute in it.3.5/5

11.NOTORIOUS DPG-now this is what I really wanted right here, LADY OF RAGE, RBX, and Kurupt sharing a track. X kicks things off with an excellent verse, and Kurupt comes in with one of his best verses in a while. His vicious battle raps on this track got me excited to here his up coming album. Lady Of Rage kicks the final verse with a lethal verse, in fact her verse could really go up against Kurupt's for best verse on the album, great beat from Battlecat.5/5

12.SMOKIN' ALL MY BUD-the 9 Inch Dixx return, and surprise Snoop is all over the track. but over all this song is ok, like their previous track this has a nice beat courtesy of SHON LAWON. Also Half Dead returns on this track.3/5

13.SHINE-MYKESTRO comes tight with this closer track, and this was a brilliant closer song. Dude has a nice flow and some great lyrics, in fact track 11 aside this could be the best song on the album, even rivaling "Real Soon". Each verse is filled with some great vocals, and the beat is excellent, Battlecat really is one of the best producers on the planet. This is definitely single worthy, and a great way to end the album off strong.5/5

So over all this is a decent release, just like most compilation releases this one is a mixed bag. There really wasn't any bad songs, just average ones.
