Synopsis

Album Description
Fabric proudly presents a simply stunning house movement by duo Simon Mills and Neil "Nail" Tolliday - known lovingly by trip hop and chilled house aficionados as Bent. With production likened by critics to both Radiohead and Air, this highly renowned team - whose fledgling beginnings were due to a chance meeting that led them to become housemates - impressed music lovers worldwide in 2000 with their acclaimed full length Programmed to Love. A vastly imaginative mix of jazz, hip?hop and rock ? "Programmed To Love" turned listeners on to Bent's unique ability to create beautifully seductive pieces of music which pooled samples from a mind numbing array of sources. Fan's can expect nothing less from their extraordinary contribution to the Fabric series. "Fabric 11 Live" is an inspired journey through haunting vocals, stuttering synth stabs, and sultry deep house.

Put's the UP in Downtempo
Slodaddy | Charlotte, NC | 01/25/2004
(3 out of 5 stars)

"What's that you say? There is no "Up" in downtempo? Well now I know we're on the same page. I purchased this album believing that I was going to get more of the masterful production from the duo behind some of the mellowest, hauntingly beautiful, music ever produced (but I'm not one for hyperbole ;-) What I got instead was a pretty decent, dancey-club album. What happened Bent? Stick to what you know--chilled out ethereal music, not rocking the house."
