Brilliant Beethoven But...

"...this performance of the 9th by conductor Carl Schuricht is exactly the same as the one on his box set of the Symphony Cycle -- Beethoven: Symphonies 1-9. The only difference is the Testament CD is in stereo and the version on the box is in mono. When you consider this one disc is only a few dollars less than the entire Cycle on EMI, this title is truly for serious collectors only. If I had to do it over again, I would not have purchased this CD."
